To qualify for admission to United Medical Rehabilitation Hospital, Insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, require the patient have one of these conditions:
- Stroke
- Brain Injury
- Spinal Cord Injury
- Amputations
- Fractures
- Joint Replacements
- Major Multiple Trauma
- Neurological Disorders
- Multiple Sclerosis – Parkinson’s Disease – Polyneuropathy
- Congenital Deformity
- Myopathies
- Guillian-Barre Syndrome
- Cardiac
- Burns
- Pulmonary
Additionally, patients must require, and be able to benefit from, three hours of therapy a day, five days a week. At least two therapies must be required, one of which must be either Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy.
Finally, the patient must require the frequent intervention of a Medical Doctor, at least three times a week.
